This fun board game on long vs short vowels is a fun way to practice this concept. Students will roll the dice, move forward, land on a word, and read it out loud. If the word has a long vowel sound, they move foward one space. If the word has a short vowel sound, they move back a space. Keep rolling until you get to the finish line! Can be played separately or with a friend.
